FOTO; FEAR OF THROWING OUT

They say the things that haunt us the most are the things we didn’t buy.. But I have to disagree. What haunts me the most are the clothes I’ve thrown out, donated, sold or given away as hand-me-downs. Maybe it’s because I’m at the age where I’ve gotten so old that the outfits I was wearing when I was a kid are now making a comeback? Ok I’m not that old; I’m an 80s baby so I grew up in the 90s and I believe that to be the best time for everything. 

Whether it was fashion, music, movies, tv, or the most underrated; the lack of social media, the 90s were quite a time to be alive. I’m stoked to get a chance to relive it, at least when it comes to clothing options. And, lucky enough I’m at an age (so old) where I can appreciate it so much more because I can dress myself.

I remember helping a girlfriend who was a total clothing hoarder clean out her closet 7 years ago and she had the classic Champion tear away pants, you know the ones. My exact words to her were “okay you know those are never coming back right?” …We don’t speak anymore and I’m not attributing it to me convincing her to toss the pants but I’m not ruling it out either. 

Moral of the story; make room in your closet, buy those giant Tupperware containers, take over your parents basement, get a storage locker if you have to! If you have a trendy article of clothing in good condition, keep it. You never know what’s going to come back around..
